The White Stripes - Elephant (2003, XL)



The hardest working man in showbiz and his soul sister at the top of their game. The White Stripes hit their stride with "White Blood Cells" and perfected their unique garage rock formula with "Elephant", their fourth album recorded in London in just two weeks using vintage equipment. Add next to these two records the equally powerful "Icky Thump" and you have three very good reasons why The White Stripes became one of the most inspiring and influential rock bands of the decade.
